Privacy Policy

Parliamo โ€” Italian & Calabrese ยท Last updated: June 2026
Short version: Parliamo stores your progress only on your own device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. We do not have servers. We do not track you.

What data does Parliamo collect?

None. Parliamo does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, or crash reports that leave your device.

Where is my data stored?

All data โ€” your name, progress, XP, streaks, and settings โ€” is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It never leaves your device. If you delete the app, your data is deleted with it.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

Parliamo requests access to your microphone and speech recognition for speaking exercises where you practise Italian pronunciation out loud.

You can use Parliamo without granting microphone access โ€” speaking exercises will be skipped or replaced with tap-based alternatives.

Text-to-Speech (Audio)

Parliamo uses your device's built-in text-to-speech system to read Italian phrases aloud. No audio data is sent to external servers by Parliamo.

Third-party services

Parliamo does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no SDKs for Facebook, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools.

Children's Privacy

Parliamo contains a Special Module ("Parolacce!") with adult language content, clearly marked 18+. The app is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone โ€” including children โ€” as we collect no data at all.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add features that involve data collection (such as cloud sync or user accounts), this policy will be updated and users will be notified through the app before any such feature is enabled.
